Community Spotlight - NOVA Open Charitable Foundation

Community Spotlight

Today I would like to talk about the NOVA Open Charitable Foundation and the work they do for various organizations.  I have always admired the best qualities that come out of the gaming community.  Weather that might be from seeing someone giving away an old model to someone just starting, or even someone just allowing a new player to use their army to try out the game.

Often times in the gaming community we see or hear about the worse of gamer's.  That they smell horribly, are cheap, win at all cost, and just plain are unpleasant(ass-hats) as I tend to call them from time to time.

But I like to think that for every bad experience there must be equal to or great than positive experiences.  So with that in mind I would like to turn our attention to the wonderful work that the above mentioned charity does.

Here's the premise of what they do.  Your purchase a raffle ticket and the money is donated to any number of charitable organizations that need the money.  What do you get if you win the raffle, well only a fully painted army or model most often painted by some of the best guys in the business.  Not to mention the chance to meet some of them when you go to pick it up if possible.  Have a look at the website and buy some tickets knowing that your doing something that benefits the gaming community and you will sleep better at night for it.
