Busy few months and the start of something new!

Knight titans patrolling a shipping dock

So on top of everything else I have been working on I managed to come up with some shipping container designs for myself.  While looking around on websites to purchase some terrain I noticed a few things that I did not like.

Admech on routine inspection

  1. Most of them you can see the "build" lines meaning you can tell they are laser cut.
  2. When you layer them to cover up the build lines they being to look way to bulky.
  3. Expensive (I know its not materials cost but time on the laser)
  4. Sizes do not match well to most game sets.
  5. Lack of astetic design, they should seem to be made by different manufacturers.

I also wanted something that was easy to assemble without needing a master degree in engineering.

What I came up with was a basic sturdy box that is then has a "sheet" of matboard to skin it and cover up build lines and allow for detail to large flat areas.  I can assemble 4 of these in an hour from start to finish taking my time to sand away any burn debris left from the laser.

Painting is simple using generic spray paint and sponge chipping with minimal inking once decals are applied. I even took the time to print out some 40k posters as these will be used for some kill team games in the future.

If you would like to purchase these I have created an Etsy shop at the link below, they are 4 containers for $20.00 USD plus shipping.  Best price I have ever seen and I can make them fairly quick.
